My stay at this hotel was quite disappointing. While the ambiance and front desk staff were quite pleasant, the room issues and lack of management support definitely overshadowed the positives. On the other hand, during my stay at Hotel Belgica, I experienced a delightful mix of old-world charm with modern conveniences and had a fabulous time during the Ponce Carnival with fantastic recommendations from the staff.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms at the hotel were spacious but unfortunately, I wasn't able to control the temperature well; it was either too hot or too cold. In contrast, the rooms at Hotel Belgica were historically charming with a comfortable queen bed and all the modern amenities.
Service
6.0
Service at my first hotel was adequate, but the reception staff provided no compensation despite significant inconveniences. However, at Hotel Belgica, Humberto was incredibly nice and went out of his way to provide excellent suggestions for dining.
Location
10.0
The first hotel was hard to enjoy due to my experiences, while Hotel Belgica is right on the Plaza Las Delicias, close to the festivities yet peaceful enough for a good night's sleep.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were pretty limited and disappointing at the first hotel. At Hotel Belgica, the atmosphere was lovely even though some details could improve, but we made the most of our delightful meals nearby.
Facilities
8.0
Facilities at the first hotel were in need of serious attention, particularly with the issue of bugs. Hotel Belgica, on the other hand, blends historical elegance with necessary modern upgrades and was quite impressive.

My stay at Hotel Belgica during the Ponce Carnival was an absolute delight! The hotel beautifully blends historic charm with modern amenities and is just a short walk from all the carnival festivities. However, I encountered some issues with my room reservation that detracted from the experience. Overall, the hotel offers a fantastic atmosphere complemented by comfortable accommodations and attentive service.

The hotel is perfectly located close enough to the carnival action to join in the fun within minutes, yet far enough away to enjoy a peaceful night's sleep. It's right in the heart of the city, next to a beautiful square where you can relax.

My experience at this hotel was a mix of great charm and significant issues. On the positive side, the charming, colonial-style atmosphere and convenience to local attractions in Ponce is outstanding. However, my stay was marred by problematic room conditions and disappointing service responsiveness regarding serious concerns. Overall, the ambiance and location are fantastic, but be cautious about potential maintenance issues.

Our stay at Hotel Belgica was memorable, especially being so close to the vibrant Ponce Carnival. The room was spacious, clean, and had a lovely little balcony to enjoy the evening air. The location allowed easy access to the festivities yet provided a peaceful retreat at night. However, our reservation experience was quite frustrating due to confusion about our room booking and additional charges. Overall, a charming hotel with some hiccups.

7.0/10

I had mixed feelings about my stay at Hotel Belgica. The location was fantastic, nestled right near the vibrant Plaza Las Delicias, perfect for enjoying local festivities. The room was spacious and had a lovely old-world charm, but I encountered some issues with the hot water. The staff were welcoming and provided helpful recommendations, though noise from the nearby streets made it hard to relax at times. Overall, it was a unique experience with both enjoyable and frustrating elements.

Rooms

Located just off the main square, the hotel provided easy access to restaurants and events. However, the area could be quite noisy at night.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were limited, and the coffee and pastries provided were rather basic. I would have liked more variety for breakfast.
Facilities

The hotel retained its historical charm, but the lack of an elevator might be a challenge for some guests with heavy luggage.
